| How are scores calculated? |

Spit scores reward a fast and accurate game play. You get higher points the faster you can place cards on either one of the spit piles. The score is calculated by the time it takes to place each card on a spit pile after the previous card was placed on a spit pile, according to this table:
Keep in mind also that if you try to place a card in a spit pile, and that card can not be placed there, 10 points get deducted off the score. At the end of each round you get a bonus or penalty, consisting of the difference in number of cards between the chosen pile and the one that was not chosen times 100. So if you chose a pile with 5 cards, and the other pile had 15 cards, you will get a bonus of 1000 points. On the other side if you choose the wrong pile, you will get penalized. To end the game you must choose a spit pile fast, otherwise the computer will choose the one that is best for it (the computer may get mistakes on judging which one is best, it is not perfect ;-) ). |
