DESCRIPTION: This is a hack program intended to change the dotted background of PalmOS' scroll bars to a better lloking gray. To make them look nicer.

Please read this file for information and installation instructions, or you can ask me questions from my website (http://aguerrevere.myip.org). I will gladly answer to any question.

INSTALLATION:
- Install any hack manager, like X-Master, EVPlugBase, or Hackmaster (Please read OTHER PROGRAMS for info on where to find them). This program has only been tested
with X-Master and EVPlugBase, but it should work with any hack manager.
- Download ScrollBarHack.prc to your palm and toggle.prc, if you are using a black and white palm, and want to change it to the grayscale mode (Please read OTHER PROGRAMS for more information on where to find toggle.prc).
- If you don't have a color palm:
run two times the progam Toggle, until in the lower right corner of Toggle's icon is shown a number 4. That means that your Palm is now running in 4 bits (16 grayscale mode). The most recomended setting for Black and White Palms is 4 bits, but you can still use it with 2 bits.
- Then you can open your hack manager (i.e. X-Master), and switch "Scroll Bar Hack" to the active mode.
- You are done! Your new hack should be succesfully working in your system.

SOME NOTES:
This program is distributed as freeware and doesn't include any warranty. You can use it at your own
risk. I am not responsible for any damage or data loss that this program might cause. It shouldn't cause any damage or data loss, but just in case you should backup all your data before installing it.

SUPPORTED DEVICES:
Any PalmOS based device running version 3.5 or above, and also able to support color, or 4 or 2 bits grayscale mode.
Tested devices: Palm IIIxe, Palm Vx, Palm m505, Palm m500, Handspring Visor Prism, and Palm IIIc.

OTHER PROGRAMS
- Toggle.prc: This program is a tool that let your change the default color mode of your Palm (normally Black and White). It would change it to grayscale mode, up to the maximum that your device can support. You can get this product from Aaron Ardiri at http://www.ardiri.com/index.cfm?redir=palm&cat=toggle
- X-Master: This program is a hack manager tool made by LinkeSoft, it can be found in their website at http://www.linkesoft.com

This program is freeware, and you may install it on any device, and distribute it freely, as long as you
don't modify it in any way, and include in your distribution this readme file.
